Members at District 105CE Feed the 5000 in Norwich

On Sunday 11 October 2026, Lions from across District 105CE ran Feed the 5000 on Millennium Plain in front of The Forum in Norwich. Several members of Peterborough Lions Club were there with volunteers from other clubs.

Outside the Forum entrance, Lions pressed apples for free juice. Organisers later reported:

• 12,000 people fed
• 6,000 kg of food rescued
• 8,000 fresh food portions
• 4,000 hot meals served
• Over 150 volunteers, including 120 Lions from 50 clubs in the UK, Germany, and Romania

Discover more about our district’s surplus-food feast on the Feed the 5000 page, which explains where the food comes from, what visitors are given, and the towns that have hosted it before Norwich.

Thank you to everyone who organised the day, stocked the stalls, and cooked — and to the people of Norwich who came and took the food home. West Norwich Lions’ note from the day has their photos.
